imPulseTM
The imPulse™ electronically commutated motor (ECM) combines the rugged efficiency of a permanent magnet, brushless-DC motor with the sophisticated capabilities of an onboard control processor that interfaces with a spa’s control panel. When coupled with our proprietary software, designers can program new and better functionality into the pump motor. The result is a variable-speed pump motor, whose nearly unlimited range of operating speeds give it the unprecedented ability to execute programmed commands.

New 180 Frame Motor Design Launched
Marathon Electric recently redesigned its rolled steel 182/184 frame motor product line and is in the process of relocating production to a new factory in Monterrey, MX. The new design will incorporate a model number change to denote the new design. "...TTDR..." and "...TTFR..." models will become "...TTDW..." and "...TTFW...", depending upon enclosure ('D' means ODP and 'F' means TEFC). In all possible cases, we intend to maintain all other letters and numbers in the model number. Catalog numbers associated with the stock models will change as well. In order to maintain identity with the older design model, the number '1' will be added to the numeric portion of the number, e.g. "E904" (182TTDR4027) will become "E1904" (182TTDW4027). Look for information on the continuation of the 180 frame redesign (cast iron and aluminum frame) in future "What's New" releases.
210 Frame Relocation
Marathon Electric is in the process of relocating production of 213/215 frame motors to our new state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Monterrey, MX. Phase 1 (underway) involves all rolled steel frame motors, in ODP and TEFC. Subsequent phases include cast iron and aluminum frame models. There are no design changes to the steel frame models so they will retain their current model and catalog numbers. Design enhancements are planned for cast iron and aluminum frame models, which will be announced at a later time.
